GI 9
low insulin response
2 kcal/g
half the load of sugar
// Why isomalt here
01
Carries the active
Isomalt is the bulk phase that carries vitamins, minerals and botanicals into a format people actually want to take.
02
Stable in the pack
Stable under normal temperatures and pressures, with a 24-month shelf life when stored dry and tightly closed.
03
A source you can name
Made from sucrose, so the label reads as a sugar-derived ingredient rather than an artificial additive.
// How it performs
Typical values for NT-ST-80 / 150 in this application. Batch COAs and full specification sheets ship with every sample.
Gummy base
Replace sucrose 1:1; combine with maltitol syrup to control set and chew
Effervescent
Blend and compress in a dry room and keep packs tightly closed
Bars
Binds as a bulk sweetener with reduced water activity in the finished bar
Digestive tolerance
Well tolerated at typical serving sizes; label above 20 g per day per FSSAI guidance
Recommended grade
NT-ST-80 or NT-ST-150 for tablets, chewables and effervescents; NT-ST-30 for cooked gummies
// Formulation notes
01
Gummies: cook isomalt and maltitol syrup to 78 to 80 Brix, add gelatin or pectin and actives below 85 °C, deposit into starch moulds.
02
Effervescent tablets: dry blend NT-ST-80 or NT-ST-150 with citric acid and sodium bicarbonate under 30% RH; compress at 15 to 25 kN.
03
Protein bars: use isomalt as the dry sweetener and reduce syrup share to balance chew.
